Hwashen Electronics specialises in wireless network coverage and communication network optimisation. It has a 20,000 sqm workshop located in the Danyang Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu province, China.
Hwashen Electronics became an ACEMS Industry Affiliate Member in 2017, when it joined forces with Associate Investigator Dr Hongbo Xie to develop a novel filter for statistical learning and fuzzy logic in biomedical signal, image and speech applications. This led to Hwashen receiving funding for industrialisation of the technique in a microchip, and Dr Xie visiting China. Whilst Hwashen’s IAM membership concludes this year – due to current economic restrictions in China and all projects being put on hold – Hwashen continues to be engaged with Dr Xie. He is also featured on the Hwashen website as shown below, pictured at the Centre’s QUT node.
Hong-Bo Xie is the CTO of HWASHEN Electronics Co., Ltd. He is also the Vice Chancellor's Senior Research Fellow at ARC Centre of Excellence for Mathematical & Statistical Frontiers, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University , Shanghai, China.
He has published over 70 peer research papers. He is a leading researcher in biomedical signal/image processing, statistical signal processing, big data analytics, machine learning and medical devices. He provides strategic planning of the research in HWASHEN. He leads the technological development activities of new telecommunication and medical devices in HWASHEN.
